Lost card, what should I do ?

It can happen that an employee temporarily misplaces their VKARD. No worries: several options are available to manage this situation securely.



πŸ”’ Step 1: Temporarily deactivate the VKARD


If you think the card is simply misplaced (in an office, a bag, etc.), we recommend temporarily deactivating the associated VKARD profile.

This suspends access to the card’s information without deleting any data.

The profile can be reactivated at any time once the card is found.

❌ Step 2: Permanently delete the profile if the card is lost


If after searching the card appears to be permanently lost, we advise you to delete the associated VKARD profile.

πŸ†• Step 3: Order a new card for your employee


Once the previous profile is deleted, you can place a new VKARD order for your employee.

The new card will be linked to a brand new profile.


  • Place your order on vkard.io
  • Complete the form you will receive by creating the new profile
  • We will then get back to you with the proof of concept (BAT)



🧠 Good to know


  • A deactivated profile is not deleted, it can be reactivated at any time.
  • A deleted profile erases all related data, and the card will no longer be linked to your organization.
