Which smartphones are compatible ?

NFC (Near Field Communication) technology is now widely supported on most modern smartphones.

It enables fast and secure contactless information exchange — at the heart of how VKARD works.

On average, 9 out of 10 smartphones on the market are compatible with the NFC technology used by VKARD.

This high compatibility ensures a smooth and seamless experience for most users.



Using VKARD with Your Smartphone


Depending on your phone's brand, the NFC detection zone can vary:


  • iPhone (Apple): Tap your VKARD near the top of the phone (close to the front-facing camera).
  • Other smartphones: Tap your VKARD to the back of the phone, where the NFC chip is typically located.

Apple


  • Fully compatible:

iPhone XS, XR, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and all Pro versions

  • Models requiring manual NFC activation:

iPhone 7, 8, and X (running iOS 14)

> Make sure to activate NFC manually from the Control Center before scanning your VKARD.



Samsung


All Samsung phones released since 2015 support NFC.

Be sure to activate NFC in your phone settings.

How to Activate NFC on Your Smartphone


To fully enjoy VKARD’s contactless features, make sure NFC is enabled on your device.


  • Android:

Go to Settings > Connections > NFC or Settings > More Connections, then enable the NFC option.


  • iPhone (older models):

For iPhone 7, 8, and X running iOS 14, activate NFC via the Control Center manually.
