# What is a vectorized file ?

## Understanding What a Vector File Is (and Why It’s Important for Your VKARD)

A **vector file** is a type of graphic file. Unlike standard images (such as JPEG or PNG files), vector files are not made up of pixels. This means they can be **scaled up or down infinitely without losing quality**.

||| 🧠 Concrete example: Imagine a logo you want to display on a business card or a billboard. With a pixel-based file (e.g. PNG), the image might become blurry or pixelated when enlarged. With a vector file, the logo stays sharp and clear, no matter the size.

Vector files usually have the following extensions:  
* `.SVG`  
* `.AI ` Adobe Illustrator  
* `.EPS`  
* `.PDF` if created from vector software

### Why Do We Need a Vector File to Create Your VKARD?

When you order a personalized VKARD, we often include your **company logo** or your **visual identity**. To ensure a professional and high-quality result, it is essential that we have **the vector version of your logo**.

A simple JPEG or PNG file does not allow us to:  
* remove your logo from its white background,  
* properly adjust color, size, or alignment,  
* or guarantee perfect sharpness on various media (VKARD, email signature, QR Code, etc.).

### Why Not Convert Your Image Online?

There are many online tools that claim to "convert an image into a vector file."  
**But beware: this is not real vectorization.** These tools often create an automated approximation from a pixel-based image, resulting in a blurry, distorted, or unusable file.

### What You Really Need: The Source File of Your Logo

For us to create an optimal VKARD, you must **ask your graphic designer or communication agency** to provide you with:  
* The **vector file of your logo** (AI, SVG, EPS, or PDF),  
* With vectorized fonts.
