# How to add an image, a document, a video, or a product brochure to your VKARD profile?

VKARD allows you to enrich your profiles by adding different types of content.
There are **2 methods**:

### 🔹 1. **Custom links (with external hosting of documents)**
### 🔹 2. **Blocks (with documents hosted on VKARD)**

These contents can be added **to an individual profile** or **to a company** (which makes them visible on all profiles associated with that company)

---

## 1️⃣ Add a custom link

If you are using the **Free plan**, you can add external links to:

* A video (YouTube, Vimeo…)
* A PDF hosted on Google Drive or Dropbox
* A booking page
* A professional website
* Any publicly accessible resource

||| ℹ️ This method does not store any file on VKARD: only links are displayed on the profile.

---

### ➤ Add an external link: detailed steps

1. Go to https://dashboard.vkard.io
2. Edit the **profile** or **company** where you want to add the link
3. Scroll down to the **Custom links** section
4. Click **Add a custom link**
5. Fill in the fields:
* **Title** (e.g.: Product brochure, Presentation video)
* **URL**
* **Icon** (optional)
7. Save

|| The link will now be visible on the VKARD profile during the scan, or on all profiles of a company if you added it at the company level

---

### 📌 Important tips for external links

* Make sure your link is **public**
* Test it in **private browsing**
* Avoid links that require a login
* Use reliable platforms: YouTube, Vimeo, Drive, Dropbox

---

## 2️⃣ Add a block (text, image, video, file)

**Blocks** are the simplest and most professional way to integrate content **directly into VKARD**, without using external services.

You can add:

* text
* an image
* a video
* a file (PDF, brochure, document…)

---

### ➤ Add a block: quick steps

1. Go to **Profiles** or **Companies**

4. Choose the type of content:

The block will automatically appear:

* on **a profile**, if added at profile level
* on **all profiles of a company**, if added at company level

## 🗂️ Media management (images, videos, PDFs…)

All files uploaded via blocks are grouped in the **Media** section.

You can:

* view your files
* upload new media
* delete media
* organize your library

||| ⚠️ Important: deleting a media file from Media automatically removes the block referring to it, on all concerned profiles or companies.

## 📘 Profile vs Company — How does visibility work?

VKARD applies your additions depending on the selected location:

| Where do you add it? | Who sees the content? |
| ---- |
| **On a profile** | Only the concerned user |
| **On a company** | All profiles linked to that company |

### Examples

* You add a “PDF brochure” block on a **company** →
  👉 All employees of this company will display the brochure on their VKARD profile.

* You add a “Booking page” link to **a profile** →
  👉 The booking page will appear only on the concerned collaborator’s profile.
