Error Message When Activating Your VKARD (Nano, Light, or Keychain)
You scanned your VKARD (Nano, Light, or Keychain) and received an error message saying you don’t have permission to activate it?
🧭 What’s happening?
🔸 "You don’t have permission to activate this card"
This message usually appears in the following situation:
- You started the activation process once (email, form, etc.).
- You interrupted the process midway (closed the tab, switched phones, etc.).
- Later, you try to resume the activation using a different email address, or from another device.
❌ The result
It becomes impossible to complete the activation, because the card is already linked to the email address used during the initial attempt — even if that attempt wasn’t completed.
✅ What to do?
Option 1: Resume activation with the same email address
If you remember the email you used at the beginning, go back to the original activation link and continue using that same email. This allows you to finalize the activation without issues.
Option 2: Request a reset
If you can’t remember the original email or no longer have access to it, you can request a reset of your card.
To do so:
📩 Send an email to support@vkard.io from the email address used to place the order.
Please include in your message:
- ✅ A clear photo of the QR code on your card (on the back or on the label)
- ✅ A clear reset request, such as:
> "I’m getting a message saying I don’t have permission to activate my card. Please reset the QR."
🛡 Best practices
- Activate your card as soon as you receive it, before others try to scan it.
- If you interrupt the activation, resume it using the same email.
- If unsure, avoid trying to restart the activation with a different email — it will only complicate the process.
